“The art I create with India inks is about the concepts of friendship, family, and the idea of “safety in numbers.” The bold pigments and the organic flow of the medium are symbolic of the intensity and uncertainty of our existence. I create these pieces with pure pigments and push them along the surface using eye droppers and sprays of water, allowing the colors to pool and blend along their paths to ultimately shape the figures I want. I am creating families, sisters . . . warriors.”
